Fire Ordinance

EBBETTS PASS FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FIRE ORDINANCE 2020

sprinklerEbbetts Pass Fire Protection District adopted its first ordinance back on March 24, 1975, and has continued to regulate and safeguard life and property within its boundaries with ongoing Ordinances.  The EPFD Board of Directors adopted its current ordinance, Fire Ordinance 2020, on February 16, 2021, which was subsequently ratified by the Board of Supervisors of Calaveras County on June 8, 2021.

Specific regulation included in EPFD’s Fire Ordinance 2020 are as follows:

  • Fireworks are illegal within Ebbetts Pass Fire District boundaries.
  • There are unimproved lot/parcel clearance requirements.
  • Commercial renovations require fire sprinkler and/or monitoring.
